Overview

Sol Mates is a chaotic co-op space adventure where players work together (and occasionally against each other) to survive unpredictable missions across the galaxy. I partnered with Daruma Games to help shape the game’s marketing foundation, build visibility from announcement through demo launch, and support the team through key milestones, events, and showcases. 

 

Goals

  • Develop a clear and flexible Go-To-Market strategy

  • Position Sol Mates clearly within the co-op space (pun intended)

  • Build and optimize the Steam page while supporting sustained wishlist growth

  • Support the demo launch, IRL events, and digital showcases

  • Provide ongoing social media and community support across key platforms

 

Scope of Work

  • Set up, wrote, and optimized the game’s Steam page

  • Defined the game’s positioning, messaging, and tone

  • Built a flexible marketing roadmap that adapted to real development timelines

  • Connected the team with a trailer editor and key art artist, and led development of the trailer, key art, and logo

  • Conducted a SWOT analysis to inform marketing and strategic decisions

  • Set up and supported Discord and all social media platforms, providing weekly content planning and platform-specific posting

  • Focused on short-form, shareable content highlighting chaos, teamwork, and humor

  • Designed and launched the team’s website

  • Created and maintained a comprehensive press kit, including trailers, screenshots, and key information

  • Supported press and creator outreach in collaboration with external PR partners

  • Submitted the game to IRL events and digital showcases

  • Led IRL events with booth design, event assets, and scheduling

Takeaway

This project highlights my approach to indie marketing: hands-on, flexible, and tailored to the game and the team behind it. Rather than relying on one-off beats, we focused on building a strong foundation, making smart creative connections, and showing up consistently where the right players were already looking.

Overview

Letter Lost is a story-driven game that places you alone in the Kharnym Isle post office, carrying out mundane daily tasks as the routine slowly gives way to buried secrets and the unsettling realization that this may be the only job you’ll ever have… unless you can escape. I worked with the team to support the game’s marketing and positioning, focusing on clarity, tone, and helping the game reach players who value narrative-first experiences.

  • Create a clear and flexible Go-To-Market plan 

  • Position Letter Lost effectively within the narrative indie space

  • Clarify the game’s message and tone across all player-facing touchpoints

  • Support a strong demo announcement and lay groundwork for launch visibility

Scope of Work

  • Developed a comprehensive Go-To-Market strategy with flexible timeline options tailored to the development schedule

  • Conducted a SWOT analysis

  • Provided a Competitive Analysis of comparable titles and pricing context

  • Defined key marketing beats and outlined where and how they should be communicated

  • Planned and executed press outreach strategy, including writing the demo announcement press release and preparing the release announcement

  • Managed key distribution to support press coverage

  • Rewrote and optimized the Steam page, including store copy, tags, and recommendations for additional visual assets to strengthen presentation

PancitoMerge is a cozy merge game inspired by Mexican culture, blending familiar merge puzzle mechanics with a warm cultural identity. I was contracted through HeyBud to support the game’s marketing and visibility, helping position it clearly within the cozy puzzle space while highlighting what makes the game unique.

Takeaway

PancitoMerge is a great example of how thoughtful marketing can support a game’s identity rather than overshadow it. By focusing on tone, clarity, and warmth, the game was able to reach players looking for something cozy, comforting, and a little bit delicious.

Valley Peaks is a cozy first-person climbing game about scaling mountains, helping townsfolk, and enjoying the view along the way. I worked with the team to support the game’s marketing and visibility during key moments, helping shape how the game was positioned, talked about, and shared with players online.
